Applet

Besides the standard downloadable application, the ACT-R system is also runnable directly from a web browser as a Java applet. The applet includes all the functionality of the standard application except for the ability to save and load model files. Instead, the applet incorporates built-in models derived from the CMU ACT-R tutorials. The applet is primarily intended for beginners or curious users who would like to run ACT-R without the investment of installing the full system.

Clicking the button below will launch the ACT-R applet in a new browser window. (If you do not see the button below, you may need to install Java.) To see a sample model in action, select a model from the File menu and then run the model using the Run menu.
